Whitney Olson is a 3rd-grade teacher at Stone Mountain Elementary in Douglas County School District. She has a Bachelor’s in Education and a Master’s in Curriculum Instruction. She’s been an educator for 5 years and can’t imagine doing anything else. She believes that education isn’t just about academics. It’s also about developing relationships, helping kids form a strong belief in themselves, building resiliency, and hopefully teaching them the joy in spreading kindness like confetti. She also believes that laughter truly is THE best medicine and that you’re never too cool to act ridiculous. In her free time, Whitney loves spending time with her fiance, Brandon, and 3 dogs. As a Colorado native, she’s also a huge CO Rockies and Denver Broncos fan! Whitney is beyond excited to be attending Shine this year and feels strongly that having women in your life that build you up, celebrate your success, and provide support during your struggles are worth their value in gold.
